Central Oregon's Diabetic Wound Care Specialists

Diabetic wound care is a critical aspect of managing the health and well-being of individuals living with diabetes, particularly those who develop diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs), diabetic venus ulcers (DVUs), or other skin lesions due to diabetic neuropathy or impaired circulation.

Proper wound care is essential to prevent complications such as infection, gangrene, and even amputation, which are significant risks for individuals with diabetes.

We provide advanced treatments for Pressure Ulcers, Venus Leg Ulcers, Foot Ulcers, Arterial Ulcers, Neurotrophic Ulcers, and more.

Diabetic Wound Management

The management of diabetic wounds begins with preventive measures aimed at reducing the risk of injury and ulceration. When a wound does occur, prompt and appropriate treatment is essential to prevent complications and promote healing.

Diabetic wounds tend to heal more slowly and are more prone to infection due to impaired immune function and circulation. In some cases, advanced wound care techniques such as debridement, negative pressure wound therapy, PRP injections, or bioengineered skin substitutes using birth tissue may be necessary.

Healthcare professionals, including wound care specialists, podiatrists, and diabetes educators, play a crucial role in providing education, support, and personalized care to individuals with diabetes to help them manage their wounds effectively and maintain their quality of life.

Dr. Adam Angeles Wound Care Specialist

What Our Patients Say

I burnt my index finger badly on Easter morning due to a steam burn. Went to Urgent Care in La Pine. They referred me to Bend Plastic Surgery. I thought the reason for the referral was my finger was going to badly scar. After two weeks of taking care of the burn the best I could, but not really knowing what I should do, I called Bend Plastic Surgery and told them I was concerned about my finger. They fit me in the very next day. I found out that Dr. Adam Angeles of Bend Plastic Surgery is the only Burn Specialist and Surgeon in Central Oregon. Dr. Angeles is one of the best doctors I have ever encountered. Very caring, friendly, and he knows all about Burn Care. I was extremely relieved upon leaving his office because I now knew what to do for my burn. The nurse, the office personnel were all great!

A great overall experience. Dr Angeles is very professional, thorough and excellent in what he does. Takes time to listen to your questions and answers all my concerns. I felt safe and confident with him from our very first meeting. He genuinely cares about his patients and outcomes, he has called personally to check on me after all my procedures. Have had several procedures done with him and he is the one I'd continue to choose. His offfice staff is very nice and friendly. Majestic has been amazing as well, shes is very quick to respond to emails about anything I need and followup. Don't hesitate to get a consult with him, you won't regret it!

Doctor A is kind and his staff is very friendly. Place is clean and feels unsterile for a doctors office. I have not had a procedure done but would trust them to work with me.

I make reviews whether wonderful or a bit horrific so that others can decide if this is a place of business or a practice they want to work with or visit. This simply is my experience with Dr. Angeles office. First I must state that I did not have a procedure with this physician. We have never met. Here’s what did happen to me. I called on a Monday morning after finding Dr. Adam Angeles in my physician network. Great he takes my insurance! I call and speak to the front desk gal named Grace. She said I needed to have a referral before I could make a consultation appointment. ??? After connecting with my PCP, and having her send a referral to him and my current mammogram, I also contacted CORA, and had them send an ultrasound and an MRI that was current to Dr. Angeles‘s office. I followed up two days later on Wednesday. ( I had not heard from them) So I reached out and spoke with Grace again. She said.” oh, I was going to call you, we’re not really taking insurance anymore and we’re slowing down with cases like this that involve insurance. I gave Dr. Angeles all of your information and he handed it back to me. Sooooo” Clearly I am paraphrasing but because this is how I recollect the conversation. Grace was so wishy-washy. I said, “tell me black-and-white. Tell me the doctor does NOT take insurance, and he is NOT willing to take my case.” Again, very wishy-washy and it was frustrating for her to beat around the bush and not just tell me that they don’t want my case or the fact that I have insurance. I reminded them that they are listed under Pacific Sources In-network list and that they DO take my insurance. Someone a little more professional at the front desk who is answering the phone should know a little bit more - would be my first recommendation!!!! If you’re not taking insurance, I would think the person making the appointments and requesting the insurance and medical records should know that. So in short Dr. Angeles should get himself off of the Pacific Source website that says who they are & what they provide because clearly that is NOT who or what they are. This is simply my experience, and I would just caution anyone calling into the office to not necessarily trust the advice being given to you. Dive deep or go elsewhere if you’re relying on accurate information.

it would be nice when I call insurance companies to see if something is covered and it is and they give me a A reference number and then I call the office and give it to you. And then when I come in and the Doctor still doesn't know anything or the nurse. That kind of makes me upset I wish somebody would get their facts together.
